Important Announcement Concerning North Atlantic Sectionals ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear all,

First, I apologize for the lateness of this notice. This season it has been exceptionally difficult to find venues, and I'd like to thank the Connecticut and Green Mountain Divisions for all their hard work in this area.

Senior Sectionals

Sadly, Green Mountain Division was unable to find any venues for the only weekend we had available for Senior sectionals. As a result the event has been moved.

Junior Sectionals

The Connecticut Division got us a great venue for Junior championships. Unfortunately, we had to change the date of Junior Sectionals as Hopkins had originally informed us we could use the space on  the 10th and 11th but later told us that due to their homecoming weekend being that weekend, we would be unable to use the space. Christine Simmons and the rest of the National Office has graciously allowed us to hold the event after the registration deadline for nationals without punishing our fencers (see below).

What: Junior / Cadet Championships

A Note About Late Registration for Summer Nationals

The Junior Sectionals are being held AFTER the registration deadline for Summer Nationals.  Below is an email from Christine Simmons at the national office that explains how to deal with this:

"Your request is approved and will be noted in the North Atlantic file. I would suggest that athletes be advised to
enter the Summer Nationals and if they do not qualify for a Junior event, they would be refunded. I would also ask these athletes to write on their entry form that their Junior Qualifying event takes place after the deadline so that they are not charged triple fees.

Christine Strong Simmons"

Sincerely,
